Buy me a Coffee?

Untitled design (1)

Yes, there’s a Buy Me a Coffee button in my sidebar and it looks like this…

Buy Me a Coffee at ko-fi.com

After doing some research and seeing this from other Bloggers, I decided to try out Ko-Fi. This is a website where people can set up a free page for YouTube, WordPress or any other activity you do and get Donations. Almost and not like Patreon, people can support these people with donation and you don’t have to worry about donating monthly like Patreon. This is called “Buy Me a Coffee” and by clicking on the button or link, you will be taken to a page where you can donate and show your support. So people can pay when they want and as often as they want as a way to say thanks for my content and to offer support. The Donation amount is fixed at $3 – the typical price of coffee from many franchises.

This is like an internet tip jar service that lets people support their favorite content creators by donating a few dollars. Every little bit counts, and every little bit gets my deep gratitude and appreciation for your support.

So if you appreciate the content I create and want to support my creative process, I have added a Ko-Fi donation button to the sidebar of my blog here. Should you click it, you’ll be offered the opportunity of buying me a coffee – or more than one, should you feel like – through PayPal. I will use this money to create better content on here, host Giveaways or create more listings in my Etsy Shop.

After all, I only had to place the button on my blog. Everything that comes afterwards depends on you. You can use it, or ignore it – the overall performance of this blog and your experience of its contents will not change. Nor will I start writing differently because now I might get a tip out of it. So, let’s see what happens.

Money is one of a few touchy topics that I don’t like talking about, but this is something I wanted to do anyway. I just wanted to open up a donation if people are interested. The blog is a bit of a money hole sometimes, so this is why I am opening the donation option. Still, I don’t want to force people into doing this either. This should all be up to the individual and what they want to do. Donate if you want. The choice is up to you.

In the past, I said I wanted to get paid for my writing here in my blog. Eventually, I want to upgrade my blog. For now, I am going to use Ko-fi as a stepping stone as way to experience what is like to earn money from writing. I feel like doing more for my blog and I want experience something new. Nothing is going to change here drastically so don’t worry. I am still going to blog about the usual even if you don’t donate. Ko-fi will allow me to see who is supporting my blog and is willing to give me a Donation. If you wish to donate, I will be happy to give you a shout out, Just add your name when you Donate.

If you’ve ever found yourself entertained by my rambling and whining, spurred onto deeper research and study because of my notes, or enthused enough to incorporate my Work into your own, please consider supporting my blog once in a while; it’ll help go towards making sure there’s always more to be entertained, interested, and enthused with.
