I think we’ve all done things we’d rather not admit we did. In this post, I’ll be confessing some of these things. This tag is created by Jenn from Jenniely. I highly recommend everyone to check out her blog! The only rule to this tag is to go through the list and tick all the one’s you’re guilty of!
- Received an ARC and not reviewed it ✔
Okay, I’m guilty of this. I always try to read and review the all the ARCs I get receive, but I received an ARCs and I DNF’d it after 10 percent because I really didn’t like it. But that was all, I promise!
- Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley ✔
My NetGalley ratio is nowhere near the recommended 80%, and I’m determined to increase it drastically next year. It’s horrifically bad.
- Rated a book on goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did) ✔
I have done that. But also the other way around, sometimes I post a review on my blog and forget to cross-post it on goodreads.
- Folded down the page of a book ✔
Yes, I’ve done this, when I was a young I would do this. Now, I’m much more conscience of the beauty of books and I have so many bookmarks there’s really no excuse!
- Accidentally spilled on a book ✔
If we’re completely honest here… Yes. It was absolutely awful. Let’s just leave it at that.
- DNF a book this year ✔
Yep and I’m owning that one. There’s nothing wrong with DNF’ing a book. It was the ARCs I commented about earlier. I used to hate not finishing a book, but it doesn’t bother me anymore. I’m not going to force myself to read something I’m not enjoying. So I’ve DNF’d several books this year.
- Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it ✔
I buy pretty editions of books I already own with no intention of reading it all the time, I’ll buy several editions of books I’ve already read.
- Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework) ✔
Of course, that’s the only way I read! And Sometimes I have ‘blogging days’ and end up reading instead.
- Skim read a book ✔
Some books are just not worth my time. And sometimes I just want to finish a book quickly. If a book gets boring I do sometimes skim read. Usually this encourages me to keep reading though.
- Completely missed your Goodreads goal ✔
Yes, I have done this.
- Borrowed a book and not returned it ✔
Yes, I borrowed a book from the School Library, and when I left school I never returned, I’m pretty sure I still have the Book.
- Broke a book buying ban ✔
I don’t really have strict book buying bans, but one time I said I was going to stop buying books for a while, so I can get through some of the ones I own, and I bought a book the next day.
- Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about ✔
I’m too good at procrastinating to write reviews so when I read a book, sometimes it takes me weeks or months to finally get around to writing a review.
- Wrote in a book you were reading ❌
I’ve never done this! I don’t like writing in books – I never even marked up school books! I use Sticky Flags/Notes.
- Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads ✔
I’m used update Goodreads all the time, I would search my books as soon as I get them, put them on my “currently reading” shelf and update my progress all the time! I’m also doing the reading challenge so I kind of have to! But this year I’ve found that I don’t update as regularly anymore, so I have finished a book and not added it. Sometime I’ve forgotten to add them for weeks. I add them when I remember.
That’s if for this Tag! I hope you enjoyed reading this post! Well, apparently when it comes to bookish things, I’m pretty naughty… I’m guilty of a lot of these things.
Are you on the Naughty or Nice list this year? Have you ever ‘stolen’ a book? Spilled something on your books? Are you as good as procrastinating reviewing as me? Or done any of these things? Let me know in the Comments!
I’m not tagging anyone in particular because I know a lot of you are doing Blogmas, but feel free to do this tag, if you want to and let me know if you decide to do this.
